The Survey and Documentation Department Branch is responsible for conducting systematic surveys and documenting the natural resources and environmental conditions within the area. The branch undertakes surveys of trees, plants, natural vegetation, and wild animals to collect, maintain, and update information on biodiversity and wildlife resources.
The branch also records and maintains meteorological data, including rainfall and temperature, to support environmental monitoring, assessment, and planning. In addition, it is responsible for the identification, recording, and mapping of reserved forests, wildlife sanctuaries, community forests, and other protected forest areas. These activities contribute to the systematic documentation, monitoring, conservation, and sustainable management of forest and natural resources.
